2015 WINNER:

A COLLABORATIVE SCULPTURE – DOZENS OF MINNEAPOLIS RESIDENTS WILL HELP BUILD THIS PART REAL, PART IMAGINED VERSION OF THE CITY

Our goal for mini_polis is that the sculpture becomes a device for collecting and telling local stories, and empowers people to dream big for Minneapolis, with the knowledge that their dreams can be heard.
— Niko Kubota, Artist Team

Brought to you by the CREATIVE CITY CHALLENGE—a competition for Minnesota artists, architects, urban designers, planners, engineers, scientists, artists, students and individuals of all backgrounds to create and install at the Minneapolis Convention Center Plaza an artwork, which is an innovative use of the space and acts as a sociable and participatory platform for scheduled and impromptu onsite programs throughout the summer.

You must select a collection to display.
